HAROLD RUNNELS BUILDING LAB RENOVATION

The project entailed a full renovation of the state-operated laboratory, including the complete demolition and replacement of existing interior infrastructure and systems. Our scope encompassed the removal of all existing partitions, flooring, ceilings, lighting, electrical systems, plumbing, and laboratory fixtures.

In their place, we installed: 

4-Level Epoxy-coated flooring in the garage

ESD (electrostatic dissipative) flooring throughout laboratory workspaces

New fire-rated wall assemblies

Laboratory-grade ceiling grid and acoustical ceiling tiles​

Villalobos Builders, LLC proudly served as the prime contractor on the Harold Runnels Laboratory Renovation Project, delivering a transformative overhaul to the State of New Mexico’s critical Surface Water and Ground Water Laboratory. 

This high-performance renovation was executed under a Design-Bid-Build delivery model, with Dyron Murphy Architects as the designer of record and Villalobos Builders leading the charge in construction execution and project delivery.

City of Albuquerque
Fire Station 06

Villalobos Builders, LLC proudly served as the prime contractor for the Fire Station 06 Window Replacement Project, providing the City of Albuquerque with a much-needed upgrade to improve energy efficiency, building performance, and overall comfort for its frontline emergency personnel.

This project involved a like-for-like replacement of outdated windows with modern, energy- efficient black vinyl units, and was executed without a designer of record.

 

Villalobos Builders managed all aspects of construction and closeout, ensuring the work was completed efficiently and with a focus on long-term building integrity.  Scope of work included: Demolition and removal of 27 existing windows and interior blinds
